It is the most delicous katsu restaurant in sunshine coast! I’ve heard they have really good food, and it’s true. I really recommend Cheese Katsu, it’s crispy on the outside and cheese is so soft. And they serve katsu sauce, wasabi and salt. Also, their service is so good. Every staff is very kind and they have a good sense

Katsuko has always been one of my favorite restaurants, so I’m really happy they opened a location on the Sunshine Coast! The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is great. I think I’ll be coming here often!

Everything was perfect from the food to the service. We’re not very familiar with Japanese food, and our waitress was happy to answer our questions and get us anything we needed. The food was utterly incredible. We had the salmon sashimi, cheese katsu (set menu), yaki udon and the aburi salmon don. The food was beautifully presented, and all tasted wonderful. Will definitely be back one day!

Delicious food and very friendly service. Twice I had the tomahawk and it was a feast. It’s also comparatively healthy as they combine cabbage with delicious sauerness of their homemade sauces that makes it easier to digest.

So excited KatsuCo has opened on the Sunshine Coast. The Katsu itself is so delicious (I’ve tasted the chicken, pork and mozzarella versions.) The sets with the sides and the lovely service go even further to making this a great dining experience. I’ve been craving a return visit since I first ate here a few weeks ago and I wasn’t disappointed on my return visit! So tasty!!

While a lot of the elements were spot-on, the rice, salad, sides, sauce, and miso soup were all excellent, but the katsu itself fell a bit short. I had the リブロース (which they refer to as the “tomahawk”). It was moist and tender, but I found it lacking that rich buta (pork) flavour I usually look for. The panko breading was great, nice & crispy! I do wish they offered more premium cuts, like hire katsu or something more special like kurobuta pork. My partner had the chicken katsu, which was a bit bland, luckily their tonkatsu sauce is really good. We also tried the cheese katsu and ebi katsu; both were decent, but nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, there were flies when we visited, and it really affected the experience, half the time was spent shooing them away. That said, for what it offers, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better tonkatsu spot on the Sunshine Coast. If you’re craving a tonkatsu fix, this place should be at the top of your list.

We had an amazing dining experience at KatsuCo Maroochydore! If you’re craving authentic Japanese flavours on the Sunshine Coast, this place is a must-visit. We ordered a mix of dishes — pork katsu, cheese katsu, and ebi katsu, and all were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The cream udon was rich, comforting, and full of umami. The sashimi was beautifully presented and well-aged, showing great attention to quality. The karaage was golden and crunchy, and the side salad was super fresh and crispy — a perfect balance to the fried dishes. Friendly staff, clean setting, and generous portions — highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality Japanese meal in Maroochydore! Try their katsu sets or udon if it’s your first visit! You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing experience at Katsuko! This place seriously impressed me. The zaru soba was light, refreshing, and packed with flavour—no wonder it’s their signature dish! The portion size was super generous too We ordered a few sides like the pork loin katsu, cheese katsu, and tofu katsu, and every single one was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You can really tell they use good quality oil. Everything was delicious, but my boyfriend said the pork katsu was his absolute favourite—and for me, the tofu katsu was the best! We also added curry sauce, and it was rich, bold, and paired perfectly with everything. The potato salad served at the beginning was light and tasty—such a great way to start the meal. Staff were incredibly kind and attentive, checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything. You can feel that they genuinely care about their customers, which made the experience even better! Highly recommend this place if you love katsu or just want a comforting, satisfying meal. (We’ll definitely be coming back !! )
